06.12.2019Research project OptiMAX
The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT and the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology IME are looking for interested companies for the OptiMAX research project on behalf of the project committee.

What is OptiMAX about?

OptiMAX stands for symbiotic multi-criteria optimization and planning of complex bioprocess chains. With this research project we want to investigate how a software- and model-based approach can help to simplify the development of purification processes in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical industry, e.g. in the production of recombinant proteins. In OptiMAX, stand-alone software will be developed that transfers process chain optimization from production to the biological process chain. Based on real pro-cess data, running process chains will be optimized adaptively with regard to process sequence and corresponding parameterization.

What does participation in the project committee mean?

This research project is specifically aimed at the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), but can be of interest to companies of any size based in Germany. Especially companies from the fields of biotechnological and pharmaceutical industry, operations research (OR), and artificial intelligence (AI).
We would be very pleased to welcome you as a member of our project committee. As a member of this committee you will receive immediate feedback from our research and have the opportunity to contrib-ute to the development according to your needs. One-off costs of 2,000 € for SMEs and 4,000 € for com-panies with an annual turnover of more than 125 million € are expected.
