7th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers
More and more stakeholders are interested in CCU's fast-moving, industry-driven innovation area. Several companies showed their interest on getting involved into this field and a lot of pilot, demonstration and even commercial plants were planned and built in the last twelve months. In addition, the political framework conditions for CCU have also improved considerably in recent months: The new version of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II), which will apply from 2020, opens the doors for all CO2 uses, including the use of industrial exhaust gases for all types of fuels. There are also discussions at the highest political level in the Emission Trading System (ETS) about recognising CO2 use. Great visions become a real potential!

Leading players will showcase enhanced and new applications using CO2 as feedstock. The main topics of the conference are the new political framework, renewable energy and hydrogen production, artificial photosynthesis, carbon capture technologies as well as CO2-based fuels for transport and aviation, chemicals and polymers as well as mineralisation and proteins.

DBT - Deutsche Biotech Tage
The 2019 German Biotech Days (DBT) will take place on 9 and 10 April in Würzburg. The conference is co-organised by BIO Deutschland and the Council of German BioRegions. This year’s host Bioregion is BioM.

Since 2010, the Council of German BioRegions in BIO Deutschland has put on the German Biotech Days, an annual two-day event that provides a forum for all stakeholders in Germany’s biotech scene to exchange views and experiences. The event has continually grown over the years, becoming the leading networking platform for the German biotech industry.
