IBG-1 develops multipurpose microbial production platforms such as C. glutamicum for production of industrially or pharmaceutically relevant products from renewable carbon sources (e.g. amino acids, organic acids, proteins).
Methods of synthetic biology are used for establishing novel concepts in strain development and implementation of heterologous or articificial metabolic pathways.
